Treyarch Looks To Be Teasing Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 In New COD BLOPS 2 Update

Call of Duty developer Treyarch has been busy rolling out teaser adverts in Black Ops 2 for what appears to be a third entry in the Call of Duty: Black Ops series. Treyarch is one of three studios at Activision now working on Call of Duty, with Sledgehammer responsible for the recent Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and series originator Infinity Ward last seen working on Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Those of who’ve booted up COD: Black Ops 2 in recent months may have noticed a few strange changes, including a number of in-game images replaced with SnapChat quick links pointing to the official Call of Duty account. All signs indicate a viral marketing campaign focused on the inevitable Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Each of the three studios is responsible for separate forks of the Call of Duty franchise, and it would come as little surprise to see Treyarch roll out a third outing for Black Ops. The first two are some of the most loved recent iterations for the series, and fans would surely love to see more.
We’re at that time of year about when the latest yearly Call of Duty title begins to rear its head, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Treyarch has something up its sleeve for an official reveal soon. Call of Duty titles are typically revealed at the tail end of April or the beginning on March, so we should be within a matter of weeks of finding out more about Treyarch’s latest covert operation.
If you're on the hunt for the mysterious additions to Black Ops 2, at the moment these are only appearing in the console versions, not the PC version.
What do you reckon we'll see from Treyarch next? Are you hoping for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, or would you like to see an altogether new take on the Call of Duty formula once more?
