The first ever pictures have emerged of what looks to be the Radeon R9 390. The snaps have surfaced of an XFX branded Radeon R9 390, giving us a look at the front and top of the manufacturer's upcoming graphics card.
We’ve got no specs to work with just yet other than those rumoured ones some time ago, but a quick look at the leaked images reveal the XFX Radeon R9 390 will require two power connectors, a 6-pin and an 8-pin. The GPU is likely the Fiji Pro die, a cut-down version of the Fiji XT set to be used on the flagship Radeon R9 390X.
Much like the R9 290 series we can see there is a bridgeless Crossfire system at work on R9 390, meaning no cabling is needed to link these cards together in multi-GPU setups. Leaked specs indicate we could be seeing 4096 stream processors on this card, with between 4-8GB HBM memory on a 4096-bit memory interface, providing a blisteringly fast memory bandwidth of 640GB/s.

As you may have noticed the labelling looks like it's a Radeon R9 380, but it is in fact a 9 rather than an 8, which can very difficult to see in this image. A quick bit of fiddling around with colour levels and contrast in Adobe Fireworks reveals it a little clearer:

We're expecting a full reveal of AMD's upcoming next-generation of graphics cards very soon indeed.
