It’s been a long old road, littered with delay after delay, but Bandai Namco has promised Project CARS will be arriving on May 8th. Slightly Mad Studios’ racing game was originally due out in November, before slipping to March, then April, and now May, but Bandai Namco has said this is most definitely its final release date.
Hopefully the wait will have been worth it, but from we’ve seen so far Slightly Mad Studios looks to be delivering on its promise of delivering the ultimate simulation racer, packing an incredible roster of cars and an unbeatable selection of real-world tracks, all authentically recreated.
PC gamers look to be the ones really getting the carpet rolled out for them though, with support for a wallet-shattering 12K resolution, if you’re feeling like splashing some obscene cash. If you're picking Project CARS on console then you're looking at 1080p60 on PlayStation 4 and 900p60 on Xbox One. As for the Wii U version, that's anybody's guess, but Bandai Namco still insist it will see the light of day later this year.
