Project CARS Graphics Options And Settings Screens

Project CARS has raced onto PC this week, delivering high-octane simulation thrills for the racing crowd. It's been a long journey, filled with more false starts than Alonso's had hot dinners, but it's finally arrived. Aside from offering what Slightly Mad Studios claim is the ultimate in racing simulation, physics and handling, it's also pretty clear that Project CARS is a bit of a looker.

Like, jaw-droppingly lovely. Aside from those photorealistic visuals we've known for a while Project CARS has native support for a Titan X-crushing 12K resolution, and weather effects so real it's like being slapped with a wet flannel. I'm itching to have a go at it, but until then here's the Project CARS PC graphics options settings screens, detailing every visual tweak you'll be able to make to find the perfect balance between visuals and performance.
Project CARS PC Graphics Performance Options

Here we've got all the usual suspects, from Texture Resolution to Anti Aliasing, Car, Shadow & Track Detail, Reflections, Particle Effects and more. This is all the demanding visuals effects, and there's an absolute stack here to messed around with. The majority are toggleable from Low all the way up to Ultra, and it's safe to say Slightly Mad Studios has future-proofed this one. Project CARS absolutely maxed out is going to be a demanding beast, but it should be great to come back again in a few years and check it out with a beefier rig.

Project CARS Additional Visual FX Options

On top of the other graphics options, Project CARS does a good of segregating the additional visual effects. Most of these of filters layered over which likely have minimal impact on performance, but can be toggled off and on depending on how you want your game to look. For those of you who don't like Lens Flare or Bloom then this can be disabled, and online it'll likely give you a bit of an advantage over your fellow racers
