Tom Clancys The Division Delayed Until 2016

Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy’s The Division is officially delayed until a 2016 release. The latest financial reports from Ubisoft reveals the squad-based massively-multiplayer shooter will now be arriving in the fourth quarter of the 2015-2016 fiscal year. That translates to an anticipated launch in January-March 2016.

Additional info on The Division since its showing at E3 last year has been sparse, to say the least, but rumours have abounded for some time now it could see a further shunt into 2016. This isn’t the first delay for the eagerly-anticipated shooter either, Tom Clancy’s The Division was originally pencilled in for a 2014 release.

Ubisoft has drafted in another studio to help with development, lending a hand to the current Red Storm and Ubisoft Reflections teams, all three supplementing the work being done at the main studio, Massive Entertainment. Things look to most definitely be gearing up - Ubisoft is no-doubt hoping it can create its own Destiny.

It’ll be going on three years since its announcement when it finally arrives, but we’re expecting a huge conference during Ubisoft’s E3 2015 press conference next month. Despite loitering around for what feels like an age, we still know precious little about how the third-person shooter plays.

Glab Ubisoft is taking its time with this one? Will it be able to live up to the hype?
