Pinball’s alright, sure, but Portal Pinball is sure to be in another dimension. Step forward Zen Studios, who has announced a collaboration with Valve and Aperture Laboratories for a Portal-themed table, coming this week to Pinball FX 2.
The ‘Aperture Science Heuristic Portal Pinball Device’ isn’t hampered by the boring Earth physics of your run-of-the-mill pinball tables, offering up laser beams, teleportation, and even GLaDOS and Chell strutting their stuff across its sleek surface.
As per usual with pinball tables, it looks as if there’s a ridiculously deep set of rules for those who want to hit those high scores. Light bridges can be activated, portals opened, and Enrichment Centres explored, all achieved while flicking a couple of paddles. Simple.
The Portal pinball table is coming to Pinball FX on May 27th, and will set you back the princely sum of £2.49. The base game itself is actually free-to-play, you've just got to buy each table you want, so you can pick the Portal table up as a one-off, should you wish.
