The report notes that Apple has already begun mass production of its components for the next iPhone, thus enabling the early release. The source also reiterates that a larger variant iPhone 6s Plus will also accompany the iPhone 6s, just like last year’s flagships.
However, there is a major image leak by 9to5mac today, that shows off the rumored rose gold variant and the dual cameras at the back, giving us a comprehensive assembled look at what the next iPhone could possibly look like.
The images leaked on the publications’ forum page, shows the back of the iPhone 6s with the much rumored rose gold variant. The next iPhone is slated to add the rose gold color, alongside its already existing gold, silver and space grey variants, to match the Apple Watch Edition.
It is also sporting the unique dual-lens cameras alongside a True Tone flash. This is in line with previous rumors that predict the dual-lens cameras could replace the single-lens camera found on all previous iPhones. It is also speculated that the next iPhone will also see a bump to 12-megapixels, up from the 8-megapixels found on the iPhones since 2011.
According to the reports, the new iPhones will still come in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display sizes and will still feature the company’s Touch ID and Apple Pay technologies but the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will feature a 12-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM, and a new Apple-made processor called the A9. The new iPhones will also feature a new innovative touch technology which will sense the amount of pressure the user places on the device’s display.
At the top bottom, the design language remains the same, with the USB port, 3.5mm audio jack and speakers situated just like it’s on the iPhone 6.
Apple has also begun ordering components from other companies in other countries including Japan, Korea, and China. We’ll have to wait and see what other specifications and technologies the new iPhones will feature. The new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is expected to release sometime in September or even earlier.
