Xiaomi Mi 5 To Arrive In November, Claims Report

Xiaomi Mi 5 to arrive in November, claims report

There have been multiple theories about the release of the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone. A new one suggests that the handset will be revealed by the manufacturer in November and it will start retailing shortly after.
This report which generates from a Chinese source also goes onto say that the handset will pack a 5.5-inch display by default along with a Snapdragon 820 processor. This seems a little hard to believe as the Snapdragon 820 chipset is yet to be unveiled by Qualcomm, so we're taking it with a grain of salt for the time being.
The report further claims that the Mi 5 will be available in 16 or 64GB storage variants and will have 4GB of RAM by default, which is quickly becoming a trend in the mobile industry, with the ASUS ZenFone 2 being the most recent handset to have this privilege.
Rumors in the past have pegged a late 2015 release date for the Mi 5, so this is consistent with those reports. There was some confusion regarding the company's intentions to launch a device in June, but a leaked roadmap revealed that it would in fact be the Mi 4s and not the Mi 5.
The Mi 5 should in all likelihood feature a metal exterior and Android 5.0 or 5.1 Lollipop by default. This won't be the newest version of Android by November as Google will officially release the Android M operating system at around the same time. But expect Xiaomi to offer the update to its devices fairly soon.
