Windows 10 is creeping up on us very soon indeed, and with that the eagerly anticipated arrival of DirectX 12. From a gaming point of view it could be huge, and Nvidia is already preparing for its arrival with the release of the first beta graphics drivers for Windows 10, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit rigs.
PC gamers who’ve grabbed themselves the technical preview build of Windows 10 will be able to nab the GeForce 352.63 beta drivers now, which supports all GeForce GTX 600, 700, and 900 series graphics cards.

The only drivers available previously had to be grabbed through Windows Update, and many users had to rely on unsupported driver versions which cause compatibility issues with a number of games. DirectX 12’s impending release should signal a significant boost in the performance of existing graphics cards, and will also prove far more energy efficient that DirectX 11. Crucially, all DirectX 11 cards will be compatible with DX12, so the vast majority of PC gamers should be seeing performance improvements when they upgrade to Windows 10.
