Vivo is all set to announce its new flagship, the Vivo X5Pro with an impressive set of specs. We already know a lot about the device, thanks to the official company teasers. Vivo’s social media networks keep adding more teasers for the new Vivo X5 Pro, the latest is confirmation of a 32mp front camera and hints at Retina Scanner Security.
The phone has a simple yet attractive design, looks solid and comes with a glowing Vivo logo at the bottom which further enhances its looks. You can clearly see the gentle curve of the 2.5D glass on the device, which is exactly what we can see on Mi Note. There seems to be an aluminum frame around the body and both the power and volume buttons lie on the right side of the device. All borders around the display are small and body is also much slimmer.
The phone appears to be gigantic, as it covers a significant part of the laptop in the picture. So, it looks like the Vivo X5Pro will indeed come with a 6-inch 1080p Full HD display. As for the processor, the phone is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor running on Android 5.0 with FunTouch 2.1 UI on top. There will be a 3500mAh battery on board.
Recently, Vivo confirmed that the X5Pro will in fact have a 32 mega-pixel front camera and that the camera will be set up to take 5 photos together and create the best selfie possible. Over on Vivo’s China sns, an image hints at an retina scanning security feature which could be called Eye ID. The idea being that the front camera will also double up as a retina scanner for fast and secure locking and unlocking of the device.
Even the rear camera will be powerful with a ‘faster than iPhone 6′ Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). Other important features include the new USB Type-C port, a retina scanner
If you are looking for a stylish camera centric device, this looks to be the one for 2015. Vivo will announce the device on May 7, while in India it will be launched in June or July with a expected Hefty price tag of around Rs 45,000.
