As we previously reported you about the YUFit band at Rs 999 launched along with Yuphoria, Now we bring out more news on Yuphoria Exclusive features that you will not find In any other phone. The name for this device has been chosen by the people in the YU community, and the device is the first to be designed by YU and is Made in India.
Design
Domestic brand Micromax claims to have used a "crowdsourced design" when making the handset. It was crafted by the company's teams in Bangalore and Beijing and aims at metal mid-rangers like the Samsung Galaxy A3, but at a much more affordable price. The metal frame runs around the rim of the device, the back is made of soft touch plastic. The phone is 8.25mm thick and weighs 143g. The antenna on the handset has been placed on a gold plated spring.
Display & Processor
The Yu Yuphoria, successor to the Yu Yureka, has a 5-inch 720p display (TFT IPS, 16.7M Color, 294 PPI) with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It features 16GB of built-in storage.
Camera
It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 lens and LED flash. while also featuring a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera on the back is placed in the center and features a "Saturn rings" design that will be present in future Yu phones.
Other Features
The dual-SIM based Yuphoria supports 4G and features accelerometer, ambient, proximity, gyroscope, and e-compass. The battery capacity is 2,230mAh and there's support for Quick Charge 1.0 charges 60% of battery at just 45min.
Speaker - Interestingly, the phone features a Wolfson audio chip, which promises great audio quality. Wolfson has provided hardware for Galaxy S flagships, so it's a surprise to see it at this price point. The loud speaker on the back promises 85+ dB of sound.
Cyanogen OS 12 - The phone will run Android Lollipop customized by Cyanogen OS 12 including an App Themer that lets you customise each app as shown in below video. It comes with dialer powered by TrueCaller, email powered by Boxer and audio FX.
